We have an exciting new opportunity to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team, where we are seeking a Part Time (30 hours per week) Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech.) to join our magnet hospital organization. • Job Title & Type: Part Time - Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech.)
• Location: Norwalk, CT
• Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 + Sign on Bonus + Full Benefits Starts Day One (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k+match, PTO-20+ days, Vacation, Sick, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.!)
• Setting: Hospital/Inpatient
• Schedule: Day & Evening Openings (30 hours per week)

Overview: Produces Diagnostic Radiographs as ordered by a physician following the established policies of the Department. Provide appropriate care for patients served. Will be working alongside professional, patient focused healthcare professionals within a hospital setting, and ideal candidate being proficient with PACS Technology & EMR/EHR Software.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Efficiently follows routine protocols, demonstrates independent judgment, and has minimal downtime.
• Follows routine protocols and refers to the source document to ensure the correct exam is performed.
• Actively participates in workflow activities to ensure the goals of the department are met and runs efficiently.
• Assists schedulers, physicians, nursing, and other appropriate staff with scheduling, obtaining requisitions or pre-authorization, patient preparation instructions, and other exam-related communications.
• Performs quality and compassionate patient care to ensure cooperation, safety, and satisfaction.
• Demonstrates accuracy on safety screening and continues to promote our pledge for service excellence.
• Thoroughly explains various procedures to the patient and offers emotional support.
• Performs various record keeping, customer service functions to ensure exam charges are properly billed and communicates feedback.
• Consistently selects the correct patient from the worklist.
• Educational activities - Participates in various teaching, learning, and research opportunities to further professional knowledge and expertise or to assist in expanding knowledge of others.
• Is receptive to teaching newly hired technologist as observed by supervisor or input from staff.

Required Qualifications:

• The candidate has completed a formal radiography or equivalent training program as specified by The American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists
• Licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Health.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
