Blue Grass Manufacturing is a subsidiary of Component Solutions Group and is a leading provider of high-quality, engineered products manufactured in the USA. As we expand our engineering department, we are seeking a an experienced, hands-on, dynamic, self-starting individual for a CNC Machinist/Programmer/Setup Tech at our operation in Lexington, KY.

This position has some flexibility on schedule. We currently run two shifts. This position can do first, second or cover both. We do have a pay incentive for second shift as well.

We are also open to full or part time depending on skill and situation.

Responsibilities

• Job Purpose: The Machinist is responsible for the programming, manufacturing, and quality of work assignments based upon customer requests
• Manufacturing and inspection of machined parts to customer requirements
• Interpret and understand specifications as stated in Job Travelers, Inspection Reports, and Quality Control Plans
• Adhere to Quality Management System procedures and Work Instructions
• Audit compliance with standard work instructions and process control plans to ensure production of good parts
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Ability to program, set up, and operate CNC machine tools
• Assist Technical Director in programming and process improvement activities
• Set up and operation of CNC machine tools and CMMs (Mill/Lathe/Swiss/5-Axis)
• Troubleshoot process issues such as tooling and fixture failures
• Train others on operation of machine tools
• Make adjustments as needed to maintain the quality of the product
• Understand inspection techniques including GD&T
• Ability to demonstrate completion of skills listed in the Skills Matrix

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
