ABE/GED Instructor
Job description
Job Type: Faculty
- Instruct students in Pre-GED and GED preparation
- Responsible for teaching common core standards curriculum
- Preparing students for the GED including but not limited to: math, language arts, science, social studies, and career development
- Utilize a variety of appropriate instructional strategies in a multi-level environment
- Monitor attendance and complete paperwork as required
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with non-traditional students
- Teaching experience in math, reading, English, science, social studies, life skills
- Some experience with individualized instruction

Hours:
6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in Du Quoin
8:30 am – 11:30 am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in West Frankfort
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Herrin
Salary range starts at: $21.00 per contact hour
