POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Abrasive Blaster who will perform blasting processes in the media cabinets in accordance with instructions and under direct supervision of the Chem Processing Supervisor/Chem Processing Lead or by a qualified trainer.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reading and understanding work order requirements.
- Identify parts with digital pictures.
- General Abrasive Blast operations using Aluminum Oxide, Nano-composite Media, Plastic Media and Glass Bead Media.
- Ensure all equipment is in adequate working condition.
- Label Blast Cabinets with correct material types and media type.
- Document Media usage times.
- Document media change-overs.
- Label containers for disposal.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklift, with appropriate certification.
- Keep Abrasive Blasting area clean and organized per company Ultraclean/6S requirements.
- Observe safety requirements and use all required safety equipment.
- Handles customer-supplied product with care.
- Maintain and reinforce LMI’s quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Available to work overtime, when required, including weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Processing Supervisor or trainer.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
- May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds
