Job description
Summary of position/daily activities:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable
- Review payroll submission and verify proper classifications
- Prepare financial reports and account reconciliations
- Create and maintain schedules for account analysis
- Assist with audit and tax filing preparations
- Maintain and update schedules related to financial audits and tax filings
- Responsible for daily banking transactions and activities
- Prepare intercompany transactions
- Coordinate and guide team members by answering questions and providing relevant information
- Support month and year end close process
- Review all inter-company transactions
- Review/reconcile payroll
- Review/post accounts payable vouchers
Basic qualifications/experience (the
required qualifications
which are critical
to be considered for the position:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years’ of general accounting experience, audit and tax preparation
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired skills/certifications (any additional skills desired but not required to be considered for the position):
- Hands on experience with ERP systems (Deltek) and ADP Workforce
- Experience and/or knowledge of government accounting
