Summary of position: Be a brand ambassador and allow the mission, vision and service standards established by Neighbors Credit Union to guide you in everything you do. Provide awesome service to internal and external members, act with integrity, provide trustworthy guidance, make it easy to do business with us, make others feel important, and take personal responsibility in everything you do.

Primary Function: Responsible for the accurate reporting and reconcilement of assigned general ledger and subsidiary accounts. Assist other Teams and Team members as needed to accomplish the overall objectives of the Accounting Department and Neighbors Credit Union. Provide a high-quality level of service to both internal and external members.

Primary Responsibilities:

· 945 weekly/yearly Tax Reporting

· Monthly reconciling/posting of Prepaids

· Reconciling of Zelle, External Loan/Share Transfer and associated Inhouse Account

· Reconciling of Fed Adjustments and Return Checks

· Monthly Reconciling/Posting of Lenders Protection

· Responsible for the accurate and timely daily/monthly posting and reporting of other assigned general ledger activity and reconciliations.

· Assist in monthly reporting/tracking of budget variances.

· Assist with Quarterly/yearly reporting including but not limited to the Call Report.

· Performs other duties, analysis, or special projects as assigned by the Director of Accounting and/or VP of Finance.

  • Promote a positive attitude, cooperation, professionalism, accuracy, efficiency, and desire to offer credit union services.
  • Work flexible hours to meet the needs of the staff to provide optimum service.
  • Obtain cooperation with the management team on ideas to improve the way we do business to make it easy for members to do business with us.
  • Communicates well with vendors and staff.

Job Requirements:

Experience

· 4-7 years of accounting experience, preferable in a credit union or other financial institution.

Educaton

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Knowledge

· Must posess strong literacy in computer applications and the use of technology. Microsoft Office; including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Knowledge of GAAP and the credit union philosophy.

· Ability to communicate orally and written with all levels of staff and management.

· Ability to priortize, think and act independently, within guidelines and procedure limitations.

· Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to a changing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to lift items weighing 10 pounds is required.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occassionally exposed to changes in climate and temperature. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,696.00 - $87,235.20 per year
