POSITION SUMMARY

As a key member of the Foremost Farms Shared Service team, the Shared Service Associate is responsible for ensuring efficient Accounting functions to support the Shared Service team. This specific position will have an emphasis in day to day activities in AP. The Shared Service team also provides a variety of services to support AP, AR, Patron payroll, and various projects as assigned. You will join a great team and support Accounting functions of transacting invoices, cash disbursements, cash receipts and general ledger recordings and reconciliations each month in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Support various process improvement projects in AP, AP, Patron Payroll and other departments to align, grow, and streamline Shared Service procedures and functions.
  • Provide support for back up roles in AP, AR and Patron Payroll as needed.
  • Provide Audit support as needed.
  • Processing of assigned accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. This includes entering matched and unmatched invoices for the following: check requests, expense reports, tax payments, wire payments and purchasing card.
  • Projecting management of workflow process for Accounts Payable.
  • Monitoring and ensuring accuracy of Supplier/Customer database, including ACH/electronic payment information.
  • Reviewing and responding to supplier/customer inquiries as needed; escalating when required.
  • Assisting in the analysis of accounts for proper sales and use tax reporting impact.
  • Participating in research, analysis, special and/or other related projects as assigned. Including assisting in department process improvement projects.
  • Regular and punctual attendance and physical presence in the workplace.
  • Timely and accurate completion of duties.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

This position requires an associate degree in accounting or related field, or some college coursework and one to three years of job-related experience. The preferred education and experience is a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, knowledge related to the job and three to five years of job-related experience.
