Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description
Business Manager must be able to work independently, as well as within a team environment in order to provide outstanding service to our internal and external business partners. An ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully operating in dynamic environments. This person will play a key role in our accounting department, in addition will be responsible for administrative and HR support of the company. This position reports directly to the CEO.
Primary Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the daily operations of the Accounts Payable/Receivable
- AP: Process & review invoices
- AR: Process and send invoices to customers, responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues
- Prepare weekly check run
- Assist in month-end closing
- Respond to vendor/invoice issues
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Reconcile accounts to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts
- Collaborate with Operations department to ensure all invoices are paid accurately and timely
- Undertake a range of HR tasks, act as the main point of contact for employees’ questions on HR-related topics, aid in resolving issues and supporting team members
- Ensure HR operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole
- Provide administrative support to organization
Job Requirements
- General accounting knowledge
- Experience with Acumatica and QuickBooks is a huge plus.
- At least 2 year experience in a similar role.
- Ability to exercise good judgement and resolve conflicts with vendors and internal business partners
- Self-motivated individual with demonstrated experience and continuous desire in improving and streamlining processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) & Google Workspace
- ERP systems experience a plus
- Ability to effectively work across teams and levels, both within the accounting functions, and across functions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
