WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for our New York office, currently we have 75 employees and expect this to grow.

THE ROLE:

• Support Accounts Receivable Manager on the cash collection process
• contact customers by phone and email to ensure payments are made by customers on a timely basis
• Manage comments within accounts system on a by customer basis to reflect communication and conversations with customers to include expected payment commitment dates
• Oversee invoicing process to ensure customers are invoiced on a timely basis
• Posts customer payments by recording wire, ACH, checks, and credit card transactions and perform allocations.
• Prepare supporting documentation for chargebacks for any disputed credit card transactions
• Raise credit notes when approved by AR Manager Sales Director and VP Finance
• Work with staff accountants to reconcile our sales between the CRM and General Ledger (Salesforce to Unit4)
• Oversee insurance certification process to ensure all exhibitors are either charged for insurance or provide proof of insurance for our events
• Support AR Manager in preparing accounts receivable aging reports for each event These reports are communicated to Sales and VP Finance on a monthly basis (more regularly in run up to events)
• Escalate any disputes with clients and ensure AR Manager and Sales Team
• Identify collection risks and keep the AR Manager updated on any collection concerns
• Ad hoc projects and analysis

ABOUT YOU:

• 2 years experience working in finance department with prior experience in credit control an advantage
• Strong IT skills with experience working with accounting software
• Strong organizational approach with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze and problem solve through reconciliations
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers as well as internal stakeholders

Salary: $60,000
