GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provides advanced-level administrative support in a variety of functions within an organizational department, division, section or another group.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job
- Four (4) years of related experience
- Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
- Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education
- Partial years of credit may be granted for every 15 credit hours of education in an unrelated field
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Communicates with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints
- Serves as purchasing coordinator
- Performs budget administration duties
- Performs payroll functions, such as maintaining timekeeping information and processing and submitting payroll
- Performs billing administration duties
- May be assigned to supervise, train and evaluate the work performance of employees in the staff assistant and/or administrative specialist job classifications
- Performs accounts administration duties
- Compiles and prepares reports and documents for internal and external use
- Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- All positions require drug testing before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16.
