We are the Kansas City Chess Club and we facilitate before- and after-school chess clubs, and summer camps for schools K-12. Work is performed on-location at schools around the Kansas City Metro, and we strive to offer opportunities that are convenient to where you are located in the metropolitan area.

We are looking for intelligent, reliable, and professional individuals to assist our lead instructors with managing/supervising the youth in our chess clubs. Our summer camps start in June and are 4-5 days long, 2-3 hours per day.

Our before and after school clubs are either in the morning hours (for one hour somewhere between 7 am-9 am) or afternoon (for one hour somewhere between 2 pm-5 pm). We are currently hiring for clubs starting in the fall semester (August-December).

We are currently only hiring long-term instructors.

No prior chess experience is required to start off as an assistant. We will gladly train you on all you need to know to be an excellent chess instructor assistant.

Hours depend on availability in your location with locations all throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area!

This position is great for supplemental income!

No past chess experience is necessary to start. We provide background checks and youth protection training for all candidates.

Flexible Hours: Part-time position, anywhere from 1-10 hours a week. In most cases 1 hour per club.

Well-Paid Position: All new hires pay starts off at $25 per hour with opportunities for raises. Summer camps rates may vary.

Local Locations: Parochial schools, public schools, community centers, churches, and libraries throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area such as Park Hill, North Kansas City, Liberty, Riverside, Gladstone, Blue Springs, Leawood, Overland Park, Westport, KCMO, Lee's Summit, Shawnee Mission, Blue Valley, Lenexa, Platte City and more!
