State Bank of Bement is seeking an Agricultural Loan Officer. Primary responsibilities will be Agricultural Lending and Underwriting as well as some Commercial and limited Consumer lending. A BS Degree in an Agriculture or Business curriculum and a minimum of 5 years lending or banking experience preferred. Candidates should possess excellent technology and writing skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers and visitors promptly and in a friendly, professional manner
• Assist current and potential customers with questions or concerns about our products and services and make appropriate recommendations. Work closely with other departments as necessary.
• Prepare the necessary documentation and issue disclosures
• Maintain internal controls, obtain all required documentation to identify the customer and meet regulatory requirements
• Make sound decisions based on your level of authority, the risk of the transaction and customer expectations
• Work at other bank offices, as needed
• Understand and adhere to all bank policies
• Understand and adhere to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• BS Degree in Agriculture or Business degree

• 5 years of Lending and/or Banking experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the skills necessary to deal tactfully and professionally with customers, employees, senior management, auditors and regulators
• Knowledge of, and the ability to use current technology proficiently, including a personal computer, keyboard and mouse, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) and other technology based tools
• Good organizational skills, a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Effective time management and the ability to work independently in a team environment
• Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality and professionalism

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Employee must also have the ability to bend and lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
