Meadowland Farmers Coop is currently looking for a full-time Agronomy Applicator at our Westbrook, Clements, Sanborn and Walnut Grove location.

SUMMARY:

An Agronomy Applicator is responsible the application of fertilizer and chemical to producer’s fields. The Agronomy Applicator is seasonal in that there has long extended hours in spring and fall, and generally standard business hours during summer and winter. The Agronomy Applicator is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of their equipment, and may be asked to run sprayer, floater, pull water tanks, pull and/or apply anhydrous ammonia, and other duties as assigned by the agronomy divisions of Meadowland Farmers Coop. This position would handle confidential information, as well as interact with customers. This position would need a positive attitude that promotes teamwork and a favorable image of
Meadowland Farmers Coop.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Apply fertilizer, chemical, and/or anhydrous ammonia to designated location.
• Operate sprayer, floater, tender trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
• Pull water tank, anhydrous ammonia tanks, or other needed items to designated location.
• Responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and cleanliness of equipment and assigned location.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPEREINCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
• Lift 50lb – potential for more work or additional duties if capable
• Strong Customer Service
• Class B CDL or ability to obtain one
• Applicators License or ability to obtain one

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Associates degree in Agronomy or related field
• Class A CDL
• Mechanical skills
• 1+ year(s) of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
