LOCATION: Assessor's Office
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree.
Must be willing to complete required coursework within an agreed upon amount of time. Some knowledge of real estate principles is preferred.
Completion of Basic Appraisal Principles, Basic Appraisal Procedures and the 2020 -2021 15-hour National USPAP Course is preferred but not required.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
Appraiser Trainee license is a plus.
Valid South Carolina Drivers License
Must obtain State of South Carolina Appraisers certification within three years of date of employment.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the performance of mass appraisal assignments under the supervision of a state certified general appraiser, complete appraisal classes leading to a certified mass appraisal license while performing field inspections and research to assist in the determination of values according to the requirements noted in the job description.
