This job is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commission and enlistment)
This position is located at Naval Base Point Loma in the Public Works Department. The planner directly supports the various tenant commands by providing facility products and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will apply planning technical skills in order to produce a wide variety of facility planning products and services for a high-tempo Navy installation.
- You will develop project justification and documentation for new facilities and major renovations.
- You will apply knowledge of the Navy Shore Facility Planning System (SFPS) and work within that system to develop Asset Evaluations (AE), Basic Facility Requirements (BFR), and Facility Planning Documents (FPD) in order to verify real property records and support mission requirements.
- You will support daily installation activities through the development of Site Approvals, Space Management, and Installation Development Plans.
- You will actively communicate in both written and verbal form at multiple levels to inform, develop consensus, resolve conflicts, and gain approval.
Must have experience in: Project development.
AIA, RA, PE credential is preferred
REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree preferably in Planning

Requirements for all NAVFAC Positions:
