TechStyleOS is looking for an Area Manager

The Area Manager is a front-line leadership position responsible for creation of a cohesive team and positive work environment to enable team members to flourish in a direct-to-customer Fulfillment Center.

The Area Manager monitors the development of their team and makes changes as necessary during the shift to ensure a safe and efficient operation. They will provide guidance and support to the shift leads and team members. This position requires self-direction, flexibility, and a willingness to set the example of providing excellent service to internal and external customers.

What You Will Do:

• Ensure execution of daily operations within the team
• Accountable for production, supervision, guidance and discipline of shift lead
• Monitor and evaluate shift lead based on goals and standards
• Solve/respond to fulfillment center problems in a timely manner
• Manage performance metrics to meet/exceed goals
• Assist in the direction of the work flow to ensure goals are met/exceeded
• Effectively communicate with all levels, creating and adhering to an open-door policy of communication
• Develop processes that improve/increase effectiveness of productivity and efficiency while ensuring safe work practices
• Ensure that work is performed according to standards, policies, procedures, processes and safe practices
• Complete performance evaluations in a timely manner, based on objective, measurable performance, providing feedback and appropriate counseling in a timely manner
• Create and ensure a positive, efficient, safe work environment
• Drive and manage change
• Take appropriate actions that foster a union-free work environment
• Consistently work to support and grow the company's' culture
• Other duties, as assigned

What You Can Bring:

• BS in Management, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment, or career path as noted above
• Strong computer skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent employee relations skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Flexible to work in different departments and shifts
• Have outstanding problem-solving ability
• Advanced knowledge of all areas of operation in a fulfillment center environment
• Experience managing performance metrics to meet goals

• Conflict resolution
• Experience working in a high volume catalog environment
• Experience managing seasonal employees during high volume peak cycles
• The ability to support the company's unique culture, to act silly at times and encourage a fun working environment is a must!
