A little about us…

We’re a tiny production company and post production house that is quickly becoming less tiny! We plan on regularly producing miniature toy content in 2023 and are looking for collaborators who can grow alongside us and regularly work on multiple projects throughout the year.

We were founded by a couple of filmmaker/comedy-writers-turned-creative-directors who’ve made a ton of sketch comedy videos and commercials over the past decade. Ryan has written & directed comedy for WarnerMedia and directed commercials for brands like Jurassic World, Nickelodeon & HBO. Chris has written, performed and produced sketches and films with over 40 million views. Angelica is our PR Strategist, with a decade-plus experience advising major companies like DirecTV, Headspace & AT&T. We all came together this past year to found WOAH LABS—a one-stop creative shop for brands looking for funny, weird & impactful ways to stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Job Description:

We are looking for an ART FABRICATOR ASSISTANT—someone who has experience and/or an interest in building custom small miniature designs. Ideally someone who has experience building things to be camera-ready—someone with experience building things quickly and using accessible materials (like cardboard and other household/crafts). The creative direction of our projects will mean that our builds will feel like a super talented kid built them.

Custom Fabrication Duties:

• Assist our Head Fabricator with fabricating “tropical exterior” set floor (lush greenery) — approximately 4 feet x 8 feet
• Fabricate midground elements (rock formations, palm trees)
• Assist our Head Fabricator with fabricating “train tunnel interior” set (rocky carved tunnel) — approximately 3 feet x 10 feet
• Fabricate midground elements (3 sets of curved and straight train tracks, practical lanterns that illuminate light, miniature garbage cans)
• Assist our Head Fabricator with fabricating “urban city street exterior” set — approximately 5 feet x 10 feet
• Fabricate midground elements (street, sidewalk, bricks, trees)
• Assist our Head Fabricator with fabricating “stadium interior” set — approximately 4 feet x 8 feet
• Fabricate midground elements (finish line, roads, jumps, “scaffolding”)

• This job is based in Los Angeles (specifically South Pasadena). If you do not live in the Greater Los Angeles Area—please do not apply.
• This job is currently budgeted for 10 days total.
• 10 hour days + lunch
• Projected dates
• Prep / build week of 12/12 - 12/16 (M-F)
• Prep / build week of 12/19 - 12/23 (M-F)

Pay:

~$300-$350/day depending on experience level. Unfortunately our budget is fixed. We can’t exceed $350/day, so if your rate is higher than $350, you need not apply.
