Congregational Home is seeking an Assistant Director of Dietary to join our team. The Assistant Director of Dietary will be responsible for managing and training staff for success. This position is responsible for assisting the Director in planning, organizing, developing, evaluating and effectively directing the Dietary Services staff and program in order to ensure the delivery of high-quality resident/customer meals and dining services.

Shift Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Job duties of the position may include:
- Assists with the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new Dietary employees
- Trains new employees on job tasks, departmental policies, infection control/sanitation, and other service-related regulations
- Manages team work assignments and time records
- Assists in overseeing the meal preparation and service based on established menus, regulations, established policies, procedures and best practices.
- Regularly solicits customer feedback and incorporates solutions regarding the quality and satisfaction with meals served into meal and service planning
- In partnership with our Chefs, assists with menu planning and recipe development
Ideal candidates possess the following attributes:
- Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) Credentials; or graduate of an accredited course; or 3 years supervisory food service experience; preferred
- Current Food Safety Certification
- One (1) to three (3) years supervising experience in a restaurant, health care, or senior services setting. Experience in special event planning a plus, but not required.
- Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, co-workers, family members, visitors, and the general public
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers
