Position Information
Under the general direction of the Associate Director for Residential Life, the Assistant Director for Recruitment and Development has primary responsibility for the administration and direction of department-wide functions for all Residential Life career and student staff by coordinating, providing direction, advising and monitoring student staffing, recruitment, selection, recognition, training and development. This position is responsible for developing central department training procedures for staff; evaluating the effectiveness of training programs to ensure stated learning objectives are met. Additionally, the AD directs the development of the student staff selection processes, offers ongoing training opportunities for staff and serves as a resource for divisional training and development programs. This position supervises two-three (2-3) Residential Life elevated student staff members (Assistant Resident Directors) who assist with the coordination and planning for student staff selection/training and has indirect supervision of Residential Life staff with collateral responsibilities for training and development, as well as, staff selection and recruitment functions. The budgeted amount for this position is up to $68,500.
