Blue Bell Creameries is seeking an Assistant Shipping Manager for our Myrtle Beach, SC location.
An Assistant Shipping Manager’s responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Be punctual and dependable.
- Self-motivated.
- Direct shipping responsibilities – assist the shipping manager in performing the following duties:
Supervising general maintenance of cold storage area, dock, warehouse, parking lot, landscaping and building site.
Maintenance of refrigeration units for cold storage facility.
Supervising maintenance of trucks.
Ordering of gasoline, oil and truck parts.
Checking of refrigeration on Sundays and holidays (trucks and cold storage warehouse).
Ensure efficient and timely loading procedures.
- Supervision of shipping employees:
Assist the shipping manager in supervising the shipping staff in all aspects of their jobs.
- Ensure all employees are performing their duties in a safe manner and adhering to company safety guidelines.
- Maintain communication channels between the department head, home office, and branch personal;
- Monitor transport intake; plan accordingly, the distribution of product with the Shipping manager.
- Performing administrative and office duties including submitting required reports;
- A CDL Class B license is required. If you do not have a CDL, you will be provided on the job training to obtain a Class B license with air brake endorsement. The Class B license must be obtained within 30 days after hire date. Must have a clean driving record
The position is full-time and payed hourly.

A candidate must possess the following job requirement:
- Safe driving record with no more than two preventable collisions or moving violations in the past three year
- Valid driver’s license
