PURPOSE STATEMENT
Works general labor positions and performs general labor tasks within and around the plant.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
- Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment and material handling.
- Performs specific tasks as assigned by production supervisors which may including moving pallets, loading materials, packing, dumping, and cutting.
- Follows established GMPs and Food Safety guidelines, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area.
- Operates assigned equipment and documents information as assigned.
- Perform periodic equipment inspections, troubling shooting, adjustments, and cleaning of equipment.
- Count, pack and inspects finished product for correct label, cleanliness, and integrity
- Works to understand overall impact of job on team productivity and plant profitability, maintains high level of personal productivity and contributes suggestions for work process improvements to Supervisor.
- Identifies and addresses product or processing problems in a timely manner.
- Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed.
- Assist in orientation and/ or training of other associates
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
High School Diploma or GED required
Special certification may be required for use of forklift and chemicals
Knowledge, skills, and ability to operate computer programs as needed
One year experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment preferred
