Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee our retail store location. A successful candidate will be directly involved in directing and managing our staff, and will also be responsible for overseeing all activities related to our retail store. The ideal candidate for this position has extensive knowledge of creating, scheduling and managing inventory as well as a background in customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Make decisions about product placement, inventory and store layout.
• Train employees to ensure quality customer care is provided at all times.
• Manage employees' time and performance.
• Ensure that the store is properly staffed at all times.
• Maintain employee records and communicate with employees, managers, and company officials on appropriate issues.
• Oversee the cash register and work closely with the bank to ensure timely deposits.
• Order stock of new items, mark down old items, and order new merchandise.
• Provide a physical presence at the store to ensure potential thieves will notice the presence of a manager while they try to avoid detection.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.55 - $16.34 per hour
