Summary:
This position is responsible for performing Auto-Cad drafting and RF design for plant extensions and rebuilt plant and to maintain fiber inventory and assignment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

• Check MissDigs as they come in
• Create design maps for design MissDig tickets
• Call in MissDigs
• Answer any calls or emails with questions other utilities locators may have about MissDigs
• Create fiber maps for business/homes (permit & underground)
• Answer emails from contractors about splice or drops issues
• Put in as-builts in QGIS for all jobs done for the day/week
• Update Google Earth, send update to coworkers as needed
• Update MissDig Maps
• Line up network with RTK points on QGIS
• Update tower drawings/prints as needed
• Add pictures to tower work
• Create drawing/prints as needed
• Create Work Orders
• Create detailed drawings for tower sites
• Other duties as required by manager

• Able to work independently
• Able to accurately maintain records, logs, reports, work orders, etc.
• Able to handle escalations and time-critical issues
• Able to read street maps and system prints
• Periodically update state ‘one-call' map for locate purposes

Education/Experience:

• Position requires a high school diploma or GED
• One to two years of experience in the CATV construction field preferred

Computer Skills:

• Basic computer skills, with proven ability to learn new applications
• AutoCad, AutoCad LT, or AutoCad Map 3d experience recommended
• Familiarity with Google Earth, Bing Mapps recommended

• Ability to work while sitting most of the time
• Ability to use close vision, peripheral vision and adjust focus
• Ability to operate computer equipment and test equipment
• Ability to drive company vehicles in a safe manner and must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
• Able to work flexible hours as required, including evenings, weekends and on-call shifts
