Position: Pilot Shop Aviation Specialist

Use your interest in Aviation to guide aviators on their path towards certification, fun adventures, and careers. Pilot Shop Aviation Specialist work in a retail environment. One of the few pilot shop available. Help customers find what they need, stock the store and work on procurement and purchasing.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and Effectively using their aviation knowledge and skills to manage the front counter, advise on products, and work with customers
• Effectively administer the Store in regards to sales, inventory, and customer service
• To act in the best interest of the Company in regards to effective use of Company equipment, office supplies, tools, and consumables (fuel, oil, filters, etc).
• To quickly and appropriately respond to reports of maintenance issues, customer service, and other issues with proper solutions.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of aviation experience. Private and student pilots preferred.

• Be able to lift 25lbs safely
• Conversational, and easy to talk to

• Superior organization skills, professional appearance, multi-tasking

• Problem solver that likes challenges and puzzles

• Detail oriented and able to keep records of performed activities

Wayman Pilot Supplies is the destination of aviators at North Perry Airport. The Academy is South Florida’s premier flight school for international and local students. From their first hour of flight through Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor ratings, Wayman prepares students for careers in the airlines. The Academy is based at North Perry Airport and operates a fleet of more than 40 aircraft.

Wayman Aviation Academy partners with Florida Memorial University, Miami Dade College, Liberty University and the Greater Miami Aviation Association as well as 5 US and international airlines.
