Job Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer for their Cloud Practice in providing infrastructure, migration, security, and reliability solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Azure Cloud Platform (AZURE) Solution Architect is responsible for the design, delivery, and implementation of Cloud Native solutions
• Participate in evaluation of supporting technologies and industry best practices with our cloud partners and peer teams.
• Lead Cloud Solution and Sizing efforts to create defined plans and work estimates for customer proposals and Statements of work.
• Conduct full technical discovery, identifying pain points, business, and technical requirements, “as is” and “to be” scenarios
• Lead client discovery to identify business and technical requirements and identify risk or potential issues.
• Evaluate the full technology stack of services required including PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, DevSecOps, operations, availability, and automation
• Research, design, and develop Public & Private Cloud Solutions, including impacts to enterprise architecture.
• Technical – Experience Designing, Developing, Deploying and/or Migrating to AZURE Cloud environments
• Operational – Web site/services operations, management, and security
• Work with Sales teams to identify and qualify opportunities hosted by Azure Cloud Platform
• Lead the discussions of cloud concepts as it relates to our client’s Cloud methodology so that clear offerings are developed and implemented with focus on success.
• Provide technical leadership specific to AZURE architecture and solutions design.
• Designing solutions to meet the needs and business goals of customers
• Mentor and assist team members with Knowledge transfer and technical leadership
• Contribute where you time is most needed and provides the most benefit
• Stay Current with technology, our client’s abilities and market trends

Requirements:

• 5+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 7+ years enterprise IT application experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in at least one of the following: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture in public cloud AZURE domain.
• In depth knowledge of Azure cloud hosting architecture with experience with AZURE and AWS is a bonus
• In depth knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems
• Azure based Cloud Architecture and migration skills and experience
• Strong understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, security, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs
• Experience securely connecting public cloud resources with on-premises resources
• Deep understanding of Azure Active Directory and ADFS
• Experience depicting complex technology architectures pictorially using tools like Visio, Draw.IO, Lucid Charts, etc.
• Experience Designing Cloud foundation capabilities, shared services, associated guardrails, and governance
• Experience with system development in cloud environments, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as Service (IaaS)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, immutable infrastructure, automation, and orchestration and other modern DevOps patterns
• Architectural background in the Hyperscaler space.
• Must have experience driving for engineering solutions and working across teams
• Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce conclusions and responses.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
• Strong process improvement experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Role as AZURE Architect and SME in multiple projects.
• Respond to RFPs providing the solution Architecture.
