What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas
- Clean and sanitize work areas or equipment
- Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them
- Work well under pressure with a positive “team” attitude
- Prioritize and time manage when there are many guests in store
- Follow all procedures for the cash register and ring every transaction up as it occurs
- Take the initiative to “Make it Right” whenever necessary and read guests needs
- Effectively multitask (ring drinks, listen to guests, fill items, answer phones, etc.)
- Create merchandise displays that are up-to-date and attractive to guests
- Recognize our loyal guests, or “regulars”, by their names and preferred drinks
- Receive and ticket all incoming merchandise
- Effectively communicate with fellow associates
- Complete daily opening/closing/check-out checklists
What You Need for this Position
- Ability to self-start and create projects during slow times
- Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
- Able to stoop and bend
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds from time to time
- Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
- Able to comply with safety and health code standards
- Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks
