General Responsibilities:
To apply knowledge of methodologies of psychotherapy to provide individual, group, and family behavioral health counseling and assessment services to assigned patients.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and appropriate license/certification in Social Work and two years of clinical experience.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience with diverse populations and bi-lingual/bi-cultural candidates (Spanish/English)

Clinical & Direct Service Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM-IV-TR & ICD-9) to perform and record mental status examination findings and multi-axial diagnostic formulation with assigned patient caseload.
- Assess clinical emergencies, including risk of suicide and danger to others.
- Apply knowledge of methodologies of psychotherapy to provide individual, group, and family behavioral health counseling.
- Collaborate with other providers, agencies, and individuals in the patient’s network of care.
- Communicate with various local agencies and individuals, as well as with Center staff.
- Provide patients with self-management skills and educational information needed to facilitate full participation in their own treatment and recovery.
- Perform timely and accurate record keeping in accordance with all Health Center requirements.
- Complete daily activity logs, behavioral health screening & progress notes, encounter forms, reports, evaluations, and insurance documentation as required by pay sources.
- Complete clear, specific, and behaviorally measurable treatment plans with assigned patients.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with Health Center employees, patients, community agencies and the public.
- Serve on Health Center committees and workgroups as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This position is performed onsite at a Thundermist location.
- Moderate physical activity is required: sitting, standing, walking, and lifting.
- Travel to off-site meetings and other program sites as needed.
- The work schedule is 40 hours per week, mornings, afternoons, and evenings as required.
- Must effectively work and communicate with a multi-disciplinary team, other services providers, and patients.
- Must develop and submit written reports accurately detailing service provision.
