The Human Resources team has an opening for a Benefit Specialist.
Location: Minneapolis, MN

Position Summary
The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the administration of all leave and benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSA/HSA, wellness program, FMLA and state specific leaves. We are looking for a candidate that has a roll-up-your sleeves attitude, excitement for team collaboration, and eagerness to provide their benefits expertise to the firm.
The successful candidate will:
- Interpret and administer leave of absences and ADA implications.
- Manage updates and maintain various benefit interface reports to ensure that vendors receive the necessary benefit plan information in a timely manner.
- Answer questions employees have about their benefits and inform of associated deadlines.
- Manage annual open enrollment periods with employees.
- Oversee the proper maintenance and audit of plan records employee files and associated data bases.
- Maintain and keep benefit plans updated with ADP and vendors.
- Manage annual reporting.
- Assist with the Wellness plan communications, education and events.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in HR and/or benefits administration.
- Knowledge and experience of employee benefits and applicable laws in multiple states.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or similar software.
- Knowledge of various HR reporting and benefit systems and software. Examples: Deltek, ADP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Must have a service-oriented, forward thinking, strategic and solution-minded mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study.
- SHRM Certified Professional.
- Certified Benefits Professional (CBP).
