The Opportunity

Responsibilities
- Sets patron tables and buffet areas for service.
- Accommodates all guests and addresses inquiries.
- Remove dirty dishes, utensils, and empty glasses from guest tables between courses and after guests depart.
- Motion food from the kitchen to the event guests as quickly as possible.
- Serve food to event guests, and attends to guests' needs throughout the event.
- Assist in event setup duties.
- Stage buffet and table displays according to event's menu needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Customer service oriented with a positive attitude, openness and willingness to learn, and a desire to be held accountable and contribute to a team.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently with grace in a high-volume fast-paced environment.
- Very organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Possess basic knowledge of standard drink recipes and alcohol brand names.
- Available for part-time, on-call events that include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
- Ability to lift, balance, and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Visual acuity and hearing are sufficient to take orders and prepare bills.
