Buyer (this will be a hybrid position of in-office and remote work)

We are seeking candidates who are able to drive purchasing activities in a fast-paced, results-oriented purchasing department. Ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude and are able to adapt to a fast-paced environment that requires meeting deadlines, following procedures and maintaining a high energy. You will be responsible for the following:
- Purchasing of inventory materials, both domestically, and internationally, for use in the manufacturing of dental products
- Expediting and deferring purchase orders
- Inventory management
- Obtaining hard cost savings
- Working closely with Product Development and manufacturing planners
- Reports and special projects
- Analyzing purchasing history
- Provide input into developing product specifications
- Management of purchase through the entire lifecycle/cradle to grave
- Maintain confidentiality
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Understanding of purchasing principles, and practices, including governing ordinances
- Principles and methods of negotiations
- Principles, practice, and procedures for inventory and quality control
- Strong knowledge of MRP
- Experience working in an ERP system, preferably Oracle
- Demonstrated expertise with MS office suite
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers and suppliers
- Ability to plan and organize work to meet changing priorities and deadlines
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
- Purchasing in a manufacturing setting is preferred
- Minimum of two years purchasing experience with MRP
- High school diploma: some college preferred
