Qualifications:
Essential:
- B.S. in Education.
- Leadership experience (such as serving as a lead teacher, grade level chairperson, served on school leadership committees, etc.).
- Experience delivering professional development.
- Experience working with preschool children.
- At least five years of teaching experience in a P-6 school.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of teacher evaluation and observation methods.
- Strong organizational, planning, and implementation skills.
- Maintains a positive attitude.
Desired:
- Advanced degree (M.Ed. or Ed.S.).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of the Campus School.
- Create an environment where children feel safe and love coming to the Campus School.
- Manage staff in collaboration with UWA’s College of Education faculty.
- Ensure that school is well-maintained.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are being followed appropriately.
- Manage financial transactions and prepare budgets.
- Build, establish, and maintain a positive working environment.
- Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback to the staff.
- Provide ongoing professional development based on needs.
- Schedule CPR and First Aid training for all staff.
- Perform annual performance reviews of staff.
- Seek out prospective staff, conduct interviews, and select employees as needed.
