Qualifications:

Essential:

  • B.S. in Education.
  • Leadership experience (such as serving as a lead teacher, grade level chairperson, served on school leadership committees, etc.).
  • Experience delivering professional development.
  • Experience working with preschool children.
  • At least five years of teaching experience in a P-6 school.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of teacher evaluation and observation methods.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and implementation skills.
  • Maintains a positive attitude.

Desired:

  • Advanced degree (M.Ed. or Ed.S.).

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Campus School.
  • Create an environment where children feel safe and love coming to the Campus School.
  • Manage staff in collaboration with UWA’s College of Education faculty.
  • Ensure that school is well-maintained.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are being followed appropriately.
  • Manage financial transactions and prepare budgets.
  • Build, establish, and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback to the staff.
  • Provide ongoing professional development based on needs.
  • Schedule CPR and First Aid training for all staff.
  • Perform annual performance reviews of staff.
  • Seek out prospective staff, conduct interviews, and select employees as needed.
