Trimming Department:

The duties and responsibilities of a cannabis trimmer are to ensure that the marijuana buds are free of leaf material and have a uniform look for retail sale. There are several different methods for marijuana trimming, including wet, dry, and machine trimming. Wet trimming is done as soon as the cannabis is harvested. This is the stickiest but most traditional method. Dry trimming is done after the cannabis has dried but before it cures. Some companies are starting to utilize mechanical trimming machines, which reduces the need for trimmers, however, these machines are still too expensive for most operations.

Packaging Department:

Each Packaging Technician will be responsible for safely and effectively weighing, labeling, sealing and converting the cannabis materials into high-quality finished products. The Packaging Technicians are responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company's cultivation operation within the packaging department.

Harvesting Department:

All duties relating to harvest and post-harvest.

Cutting down plants and transporting them to dry facility and hanging plants inside the dry facility.

Inspecting harvested plants for irregularities and impurities.

Removal of leaf and fan leaf. Attention to detail is crucial.

Bucking dried flower (removing flower from stems after drying)

Hand trimming and finishing off machine trimmed flower.

Light packaging work and light janitorial work to clean work room and station after each shift.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a criminal background check

• Must be able to complete numerous manual labor task in a timely manner

• Must be able to follow directions and learn different growing methods

• Be able to work independently or in a team setting

• Must be able to follow safety and state cannabis regulations

• Work in adverse weather conditions

• Cultivation experience preferred but not required

• May be required to work some weekends and holidays

• Must be able to use hand tools, stand for extended periods of time, kneel, bend, stoop, reach, and routinely lift and carry 50 pounds

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
