Cardiology - Echocardiographer - Part Time 20 hours/week

WWMG Cardiology is looking for a part-time Echocardiographer at our new Cardiology office in
Bellingham. 20 hours/week = 2.5 days with a flexible, rotating schedule. No evenings, weekends, or on
call schedule – ever!
Responsibilities:
The Echocardiographer (cardiac sonographer) is responsible for obtaining high quality recordings of
ultrasound images of the heart and related structures for the cardiologist who will interpret the
examination. This is a technical position requiring a highly skilled operator with knowledge of the various
types of ultrasound procedures. Work situations require clinical interpretive knowledge, independent
judgment, initiative, and ingenuity in performing procedures. External contacts include patients, family
members, and physicians. Internal contacts are basically within the work group.
Duties and expectations:
- Performs echocardiographic studies on adult patients
- Completes the echocardiography with quantitative calculations, measurements, and descriptive
- Performs clerical procedures, to include scheduling, answering phones, filing, notification of interpreting
- Performs cleaning and maintenance of ultrasound and other equipment
- Maintains reliable attendance
- Contributes to the success of the organization by continuously learning, and by performing other duties

- Previously trained in or willing to train on the job for Vascular Imaging such as Carotids
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Current BLS certification, preferred (can help obtain upon hire)
- Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers with a
receive RDCS certification within 12 months of hire.
- Registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International as Registered Cardiac Sonographer
expectation of obtaining ARDMS registry within 12 months of hire.
- Previous experience as an Echocardiographer preferred
Salary: $30.00 - $52.00 per hour, DOE
