Job Description:

We are looking to grow our Connected Infotainment/Telematics Cellular Wireless test team to help GM further expand its leading global position in connected vehicles, features, and services!

You will be part of a team of experienced engineers who are helping to ensure we here at GM successfully deliver the latest cellular wireless technologies to our connected vehicles. This is a blossoming and innovative feature area that merges the latest technologies from the telecom and automotive industries.

The responsibilities of the Test Engineer will focus on authoring and running cellular wireless test procedures. These procedures enable features and services for the latest GM connected vehicle programs. In this role, you will work collaboratively within our team of like-minded peers to verify cellular connectivity behavior and identify, report, track, and resolve issues. You will also contribute to the design and development of automated test systems which further enhance GM's product development and test capabilities.

Additional Job Description

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology,
• Minimum of 2 years of professional engineering experience.
• Must have a Basic understanding of cellular wireless technologies and the associated industry standard tools and techniques (i.e. 4G/LTE, 3GPP, cellular data log collection and analysis, etc.)
• Proven technical/professional skills and experience in the validation, launch, and delivery of a production intent product
• Knowledge of software code, script development, and automation test environments

Preferred:

• MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Knowledge and understanding of telecom industry 3GPP specifications and a well-developed understanding of 4G/LTE architecture
• Familiarity with IP telephony network, SIP protocol, IMS architecture
• Experience in validating hardware/software in the telecom industry.
