Job Summary:
The Controller/Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, budget preparation, audit functions, and payroll.
· Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
· Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
· Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
· Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
· Works with the President to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
· Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
· Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
· Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
· Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
· Works with external auditors and provides needed information for annual audits.
· Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Education and Experience:
· Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
· Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
· Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
