The role you’ll contribute:

The CIS Manager of Applications Radiation Oncology will provide leadership for a comprehensive informatics program with a primary focus on clinical best practice and administration in support of interdisciplinary patient focused care. The position includes management of informatics personnel overseeing the Radiation Oncology IT infrastructure and EMR. The manager will participate and direct the AIT Radonc analyst in the planning, implementation, and support of clinical and technical projects by applying informatics principles. Is dedicated to leading a team to provide secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery system that continually improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients’ experiences. The ability to communicate with all levels of hospital leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff is essential for this position. CIS Manager of Applications Radiation Oncology will be responsible for the assessment of clinical & ancillary informatics needs for the Organization’s strategic & optimization projects and providing feedback to inform the yearly departmental and budget strategies.

• Leads complex technical and clinical projects with minimal supervision
• Performs analysis of project initiatives for scope, resourcing, and timeline requirements
• Identifies and engages subject matter experts across departments within the system to ensure timely delivery of services
• Manages work assignment, escalations and day to day work assignments and needs of team
• Assists with Operational escalations, issues and worked with vendor and /or business partners for timely resolutions
• Oversees quarterly site visits/ assessments and identify areas of improvements
• Manages departmental standards and documentation

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• BS or BA in a Healthcare or Business related field (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)
• Completion of one professional certification within three years and maintenance of certification thereafter if applicable.
• 3+ years’ experience with clinical/technical EMR system application implementation
• 3+ years of clinical/technical background
• Master’s Degree in Healthcare, Informatics, Computer Science or Business administration; all with related healthcare experience preferred
• Aria or Radiation Oncology application experience preferred
• Epic Certification in preferred
