Claims Analyst

Job Summary:

The Claims Analyst will assist the Claims Manager and the Director of Claims with cargo claims processing. The Claims Admin will also provide administrative support as needed.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Daily research and processing of pending cargo claims as assigned
• Daily monitoring and reconciliation of undelivered cartons from previous days’ deliveries
• Prepare, complete, and distribute the daily shortage report
• Prepare and complete daily OHI report
• Executing high levels of professionalism and proper email etiquette when answering phone calls and responding to customer phone calls
• Complete other duties as requested
• Ability to work some extended hours including nights and weekends, as needed
• Flexibility for travel, if needed
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position

Skills:

• Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on performance recognition
• Strong technical skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel 2007, web-based applications, etc.)

Abilities:

• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

Required Experience:

• Must be 18 or older
• Minimum 1 -3 years of related experience

License/Certifications: N/A

Preferred Qualifications:

• Transportation industry knowledge and experience
• Experience with claims and compliance processes
