About the Role
Lyra is at the forefront of increasing access to evidence-based, efficacious mental health services on a large scale. Lyra has developed innovative blended models of coaching and psychotherapy that combine leading clinical expertise with routine outcomes monitoring and engaging clinical digital tools. Scientific publications on Lyra’s mental health coaching [link, link], psychotherapy [link,link], medication management [link], and overall workforce mental health programs [link, link] provide strong evidence for the clinical effectiveness of these evidence-based treatment programs.
We are looking for an experienced psychologist with a passion for writing, intervention development, and skills training to contribute to our care programs. Specifically, this role will support the development of mental health promotion / wellness interventions and content. For this role, strong expertise in promoting the well-being of individuals and families (kids, adolescents, parents, etc.) is required. This position will largely be dedicated to writing on topics promoting mental health well-being.
You will be part of a highly skilled, creative, and collaborative team with an established track record for developing effective and engaging interventions and digital clinical materials on emotional wellness and psychotherapy skills. By directly reaching tens of thousands of clients, your work on interventions and digital clinical materials will help create meaningful positive change on a large scale.

Your work will include...

  • Supporting the expansion of mental health well-being programs with innovative ideas for increasing engagement
  • Identifying and proposing skills-teaching materials related to mental health well-being (e.g. skills for reducing stress, improving family well-being, etc.)
  • Writing engaging wellness and clinical content including storytelling and interactive exercises
  • Receiving and incorporating significant feedback on your program proposals and writing
  • Cross functional collaboration to produce educational materials on wellness & wellbeing
  • Trainings to help disseminate the use of mental health well-being materials
  • Reviewing research to inform the development of new well-being content
  • Reviewing sources of content we might consider to license

Requirements

  • PsyD, PhD in Clinical / Counseling psychology
  • Preference given to licensed Psychologists (however, those who are near full licensure/license eligible will still be considered).
  • Passionate about the mission of disseminating emotional wellness skills (rooted in and adapted from evidence-based therapy skills) to clients on a large scale
  • Excellent training in and deep understanding of evidence-based treatments (e.g. ACT, MBCT, MBSR, CBT, DBT, EFT) and wellness interventions
  • Ability to apply experience with case conceptualization, treatment planning, and curriculum development to wellness programming
  • Experience with family-focused interventions for child and parent wellbeing or child behavioral problems (e.g. PMT, PCIT, The Incredible Years)
  • Excellent writer with demonstrated writing experience, passionate about writing on wellness and clinical topics
  • 3+ years of experience in providing evidence-based treatments
  • Experience in mental health promotion/prevention interventions is a plus
  • Experience as mindfulness trainer and practitioner is a plus
  • Training and experience teaching skills groups directly to clients (DBT, CBT, MBSR) is a plus
  • Experience working with young adults is a plus
  • Comfortable with technology

This position can be fully remote or hybrid (i.e., 2 days onsite at our Burlingame office, 3 days from home).
