What You Will Do In Your Role

The Process Operator Intern will learn general skills of process operation and qualify on an operating job to safely produce chemical products according to specified operating procedures while maintaining environmental compliance and reporting standards. Problem solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking are a part of a Process Operator’s job.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Must be within a semester or two of completing an Associate’s Degree in Process Technology or an equivalent technology field
  

Physical Requirements:

• Process Operators typically work a 12-hour rotating shift, but flexibility around class schedules will be provided as needed.
• Required to wear any or all of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, Nomex, acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, and respirators. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task.
• Work under the following conditions: Confined spaces, congested areas, extreme inclement weather, required overtime, long hours, etc.
• Climbs stairs, ladders on columns, ladders, scaffolds.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

This role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.
