The Orthopaedic Institute of Western Kentucky, a growing private medical practice group, is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Coder:
Job Summary:
The CDI Coder will analyze medical records and identify documentation deficiencies. Reviews and verifies that documentation supports diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviews and/or corrects coding of medical records to ensure the accurate assignment of all documented diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT, E&M, HCPCS and other designated coding classification systems in accordance with coding rules and regulations.
- Responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other patient caregivers and medical records staff.
- Provides feedback and education to provider staff on an ongoing basis to ensure that the appropriate reimbursement is received for the level of service rendered. Provides training and in-services regarding changes in coding methodology and enhanced documentation procedures for optimizing reimbursement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
