Department: Field Services
Position Overview: The Sr. Field Service Tech will assist and train Field Service Techs with various work on oil and gas production and processing equipment and will ensure that all jobs are completed safely. Tasks examples - Maintenance, repairs, trouble shooting, and start ups on rental, company, and customer owned oil & gas production equipment such as open flare controls, ECD’s, Burner Management systems, Vapor Recovery Units and other rotary equipment. Works closely with the Sales team and customers to ensure job satisfaction. Job requires overtime hours, and occasional travel with some out-of-town stay. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supports a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible
- Combustor/Flare Maintenance Techs Perform tasks while on manlift at heights between 20’-50’
- Possess an understanding of all applicable electrical codes.
- Perform work on company and customer owned Oil & Gas Production Equipment - startup, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of Oil and Gas Production Equipment
- Assist and Train Techs as needed with startup, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of Oil and Gas Production Equipment
- Project workload and capacity reports for the sales team
- Work closely with sales to ensure jobs are scheduled and completed in a timely and organized fashion
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work necessary hours to meet customer requirements
- Leads Field Techs to install and maintain burner management systems in the field
- Complete Timecards, field tickets and material transfers with accurate information and turned in timely.
- Perform quality work to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintains Company truck and ensures all required maintenance is performed.
- Complete all job related safety documentation to ensure job is completed in a safe manner
- Works closely with Cimarron customers to ensure job satisfaction
- Requires Responsible, Self Motivated individual that works with little supervision
- Other Duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years in a leadership role
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Successfully pass and obtain DOT Certification
- Successfully pass and obtain DISA Certification
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of six (6) years of Oil / Gas experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of environmental equipment experience (combustion, compression, BMS) or - 4 years’ experience with production/midstream equipment
- Fundamental Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and the Electrical Trade
- Fundamental Knowledge of good electrical and mechanical trouble shooting practices
- Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office application package, Outlook, and ERP and MRP database driven software.
- Training/Experience in Industrial Wiring, Motor Controls, Relay Logic and PLC’s
- Training/Experience Reading and Interpreting Electrical, P&ID, GA and Fabrication drawings
- Training/Experience Working in Microsoft Office Suite and MRP/ERP Systems
- Training/Experience Working with Electrical instrumentation (Flow/Pressure Transmitters, Thermocouples, Etc.)
- Training/Experience Working with Electrical motors, starters and drives
- Training/Experience Working with Vacuum pumps, blowers and belt driven/direct drive motors
- Training/Experience Working with pneumatic and electric actuators and valves
- Training/Experience Working with detonation and flame arrestors
- Training/Experience Working with pressure/vacuum relief valves and mechanical check valves
Position Criteria:
- Must have good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various types of mechanical equipment
- Prior plant I&E construction experience a plus
- Fundamental Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and the Electrical Trade
- Fundamental Knowledge of good electrical and mechanical trouble shooting practices
- Must be able to prioritize workload and organize tasks
- Must be a self-starter and highly dependable.
- Must possess excellent command of the English language in both written and spoken form
- Must have strong communication skills with all levels of employees and customers
- Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) a plus
- Must be extremely aware of safety procedures and protocol
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of inputs, outputs, raw materials, waste, quality control, assets, and techniques used for maximizing the manufacturing of products
- Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Prior team/crew lead experience a plus
- Must have inventory, time management and job planning skills
