Denison Landscaping is a family owned business in operation for 50 years. We have an immediate opening for a Project Manager located in our Commercial Division in Fort Washington, MD.

Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of duties including commercial landscaping, hardscape, scheduling of production work, managing and staffing of the installation process and performing the necessary administrative and communication functions involved with this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Communicate staffing needs

· Reviews all specifications and plans pertinent to job (Attachment A)

· Reviews and confirms quantity take-offs per contract specifications

· Schedule work with appropriate time frames for completion

· Communicate with clientele in an effort to ensure a smooth working relationship

· Layout and communicate projects to job Foreman

· Ability to analyze and determine when a change order request is required and

have the ability to prepare, cost and sell change order request to maximize

company profitability

· Identify areas where “cost saving” measures may be identified

· Administer quality control measures in field with project Foreman

Skills and Educational Requirements:

Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must have a general knowledge of the Landscaping industry. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze and solve problems. Must be a self-starter, with a strong work ethic and must be a team player.

Inner Relationships:

Contact with all levels of personnel within the company and with clients and vendors.

Working Conditions:

The Project Manager position is a salaried position. Scheduled workweeks will vary and will be determined based upon workload, seasonal scheduling, and weather. When required employee will be required to work weekends.

Needed Attributes:

Verbal ability. Ability to make calculated and cost effective decisions. Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks under time performance pressure, often changing assignments on short notice. Ability to read and understand blue prints and prioritize and organize scheduled projects.
