COMPENSATION: Commensurate based on experience

LOCATION: Dallas or Chicago (Onsite)

SUMMARY:
Responsible for meeting clients and vendors, building relationships, securing quality property, assisting with auctions and private sales, and other related duties.

We seek ambitious individuals to represent Heritage in the greater Dallas or Chicago areas with a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational abilities, and an in-depth understanding of luxury handbags and accessories (e.g., Hermes, Chanel, LV, Goyard, etc.) to assist in the continued growth of this category.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtain auction consignments and private sale inventory through networking, responding to ads and website inquiries, and assisting with existing valued client relationships
  • Work closely with the New York-based Director of the department
  • Oversee authentication and vetting of condition
  • Assist with descriptions for catalogs, essays, and advertising copy
  • Market-specific consignments to existing and new clients
  • Negotiate client terms
  • Review auction settlements and wires
  • Create and develop strategic partnerships with clients, vendors, online and other luxury brand purveyors
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience as a commercial dealer and/or in a major auction house with a focus on Luxury Accessories

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
  • Ability to multitask and pay great attention to detail
  • Must have a positive attitude with exceptional customer service skills
  • Public speaking talents are a plus!

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and have the flexibility to travel and/or work some weekends.
