JOB SUMMARY

  • The Social Media Support Staff is responsible for the conception, development, and execution of innovative network promotion and social media strategies for BCSN and BCAN. Primary job function requires the employee to work independently using creativity and/or originality to contribute to production as needed.
  • The Social Media Support Staff reports directly to the Station Director.
  • This position has no direct reports.
  • The Social Media Support Staff will work as a member of a team, promoting a positive attitude and feeling of well-being towards co-workers.
  • The Social Media Support Staff frequently interfaces with BCSN Live Events, Sports Nightly, and BCAN Arts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Social Media Support Staff is responsible for:

  • Assisting in development and execution of innovative promotional and social media strategies;
  • Maintaining and active calendar of BCSN promotions and content marketing campaigns;
  • Tracking daily social media engagement;
  • Tracking promotions and content marketing campaigns;
  • Staying up to date with new and innovative social media strategies;
  • Driving on the job as needed to perform job duties;
  • Accurately completing projects and tasks on time
  • Adhering to Company and departmental policies and procedures, including the EEO and safety guidelines, at all times;
  • Other duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent – required
  • Associate degree in communications or equivalent related work experience – preferred
  • At least 1-year prior related work experience in creating and maintaining social media campaigns – preferred
  • Personal computer skills- required
  • Previous experience with desktop editing and publishing- preferred
