The Corporate Insurance Risk Analyst:

• Supports management of insurance risk management functions on behalf of Munich-American Holding Corporation (MAHC) and implements the strategies to the various legal entities. Coordinates with all entities, and supports structuring of the insurance programs placed on behalf of MAHC and affiliates. Collaborates and reviews international subsidiaries insurance coverages as needed and obtain local coverage for contract specific requirements.
• Protects the assets of MAHC by ensuring that the agreed upon contractual coverages are aligned with our insurance policies.
• Develops insurance language for the contracts/agreements for products and services being offered across the MAHC companies.

Responsibilities:

• Supports the development, management, and negotiation of comprehensive insurance programs and is responsible for the implementation of programs across MAHC companies. Programs may include Property, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Directors & Officers, Employer Practices Liability, Professional Liability, and Cyber, among others.
• Develops standard insurance requirements for the various products and services across the MAHC companies; negotiates and manages non-standard insurance not on company paper for contractors, vendors and suppliers and other services being provided to and from the MAHC companies.
• Reviews and recommends amendments to insurance clauses and liability of all leases, contracts, and other agreements to limit the corporation’s contractual liabilities as part of contractual risk transfer process.
• Reviews business contracts, property leases, MSA’s ,IoT warranties and SaaS agreements, events and other business offerings contracts to determine if the terms of the agreements and the insurance requirements are reasonable and consistent with the Company’s insurance programs and risk mitigation philosophy and assess potential risk exposures.
• Ensures processes and controls exist to support the risk and transfer of risk from an internal control aspect, working in conjunction with Integrated Risk Management (IRM).
• WC administration for MAHC’s monopolistic states coordinating with payroll and submitting claims to BWC.
• Administer claims process and file claims related to Corporate Insurance programs.
• Acquire and administer bonds related to Corporate Insurance, deputy inspector bonds and any other bonds as required. Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is a shared service organization that delivers services to all Munich Re US P&C Companies and other group entities.

Your profile

Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a corporate risk management environment or brokerage experience handling global accounts or equivalent
• CPCU, ARM or ARe desired
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the Company and a variety of business professionals outside of the Company
• Highly proactive, with a high degree of initiative, and naturally curious and inquisitive to identify issues and decisively solve problems
• Team approach to optimize collaboration and deliver positive business outcomes
• Resourceful to research issues, assemble support and provide creative solutions to complex risk transfer issues
• Adaptive to changing priorities while managing multiple projects and tasks and meeting strict time deadlines
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
