General Description:

Oversee the legal aspects of our business. Safeguard our corporate reputation by guaranteeing the company strictly adheres to legal guidelines by offering timely direction to management regarding all relevant issues. Effectively ensure legal conformity and minimize the probability of exposure.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform a careful review on each of the Company’s existing legal: documents, contracts and agreements

· Provide counsel across a variety of legal disciplines (employment, consumer, privacy, corporate, finance and international)

· Collaborate with the Executive team to devise efficient legal strategies and forward guidance

· Draft and present internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance

· Identify, research and evaluate alternative risk factors regarding business decisions and overall operations

· Apply effective risk management strategies and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues

· Liaise with external law firms in specialized matters requiring expertise that may be unavailable in house

· Communicate and negotiate with outside parties (agencies, regulators, external counsel, public authorities, etc.), creating positive relationships, agreements and mutual trust

· Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents

· Actively engage in complex matters with multiple internal stakeholders and occasionally competing forces and/or business priorities

· Provide clarification on legal language and specifications to the entire employee population

· Conduct all assignments with integrity and a high degree of responsibility

· Maintain current knowledge on alterations in legislation at the Federal, State and Local levels

Position Requirements:

· A minimum of 10 or more years practicing law, including at least five specializing in corporate

· Admittance to the respective State BAR Association (New York and/or Florida)

· A demonstrated track record as a Legal Counsel in a corporate business environment

· Excellent generalist knowledge in diverse areas of law, including corporate, employment, libel, consumer, privacy, finance, international and other areas
