Position: CPA Accountant

Tenure: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Waco, TX (Hybrid)

Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

Our client, a boutique accounting firm who have a large Tax Division is rapidly growing. They are currently in the market for a sharp CPA Accountant who will help achieve the primary objectives of the team, by reviewing federal and state income tax returns, performing audits, managing multiple clients, and training and supervising staff.

What will you be doing?

· Build strong connections with clients, both new and old, and show a fundamental understanding of clients' businesses.

· Examine tax returns filed by individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations on both the federal and state levels.

· Perform audits for municipal, state, and federal taxes

· Create research memos written correspondence, instructions, and other documents to be submitted to the IRS or other tax authorities

· Provide training to staff, review and evaluate their performance while providing supervision

· Oversee several clients, finances, and production targets

Must Haves:

· Masters degree in finance or taxation is preferred

· CPA license

· 10+ years of experience in public accounting and tax

· Experience with tax audits

· 2+ years in a supervisor role

· Strong analytical and accounting capabilities

· Proficient in CCH Axcess Suite, BNA, and Office 365

· Strong communication and written skills

· Strong multi-tasking skills

· Ability to handle high-net-worth individuals and businesses

Salary: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
