Quartz Transport, a brand new Asheville-based manufactured and modular home hauling and installation company is looking for installation crew members.Quartz is a fast-moving and fast-growing company looking to expand throughout western North Carolina and beyond. It’s an exciting time to be working at Quartz Transport and play an integral role with a rapidly growing company.

Summary:

Quartz Transport is seeking experienced and reliable installation crew members to join the expanding team. Installation Crew Members are needed for all aspects of transport (incl. Pilot Escort) and setting of modular and manufactured homes. This crew will primarily work within a one hour region around Buncombe County.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare set site including excavation and concrete.
• Set (block and level) Manufactured Housing Units (Modular and HUD code homes).
• Structurally fasten the units.
• Complete the roof closure and shingling
• Maintain company tools and materials. Inform management of any issues that arise.
• Represent Quartz Transport with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
• Operate some really cool equipment like a House Tug and Jadde.
• May be asked to complete a NC Pilot Escort License (company paid).
• Perform Pilot driver duties, escorting Modular and HUD homes from pickup location to site.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the full duration of the workday
• Must have clear vision at both close and distant ranges
• Ability to hear clearly
• Must be willing to work outside in all four seasons

Qualifications:

• Prior home Set experience will be given preference
• Basic knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the installation and setting of modular and/or manufactured homes
• Ability to troubleshoot, reason, solve problems, and communicate effectively
• Understand and execute instructions, work safety policies, and procedures
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must-haves:

• A valid state driver’s license
• An acceptable driving record and excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves:

• NC Pilot Escort License
• At least one years’ experience hauling and setting manufactured homes.
• Manufactured/modular home experience

Pay Range and perks:

• $25-35 / hour depending on experience
• Paid Lunch on job days
