Position Description:

Presbyterian Village North is immediately hiring in our Culinary Services department for Summer positions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting and new or existing safety hazards

Maintain good attendance record; arrive at work timely and conform to scheduled work hours
Wear and use appropriate protective gear and equipment, i.e. aprons, hair nets
Perform all job duties safely
Responsible for sanitation controls within assigned work area

Bus tables in dining room
Break down food carts from units
Provide efficient, timely and courteous food service to residents

Complete cleaning assigned workstation on a daily basis according to posted schedule
Scrapes, stacks, loads, washes according to instructions as assigned
Unloads and stores dishes, tableware and utensils as assigned
Neatly arranges table setting with proper tableware, condiments and tray card
Perform various food preparation tasks and ensure appropriate serving sizes
Deliver soiled tablecloths to laundry area

Responsible for folding dining room napkins
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or the Director of Culinary Services
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent or current high school student (minimum age 15)
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
Ability to read and comprehend menus and other pertinent material related to resident care
Ability to serve residents in a professional courteous fashion and timely manner
Genuine caring for and interest in the elderly and persons with a disability

Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
