Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in designated areas of the hospital, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
• Refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and toilet paper holders.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, handrails, and elevator buttons.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory levels.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures while handling biohazardous waste.
• Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests or spills to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Follow hospital regulations and protocols regarding the disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and respect privacy regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, supplies, and equipment used in hospital housekeeping.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and biohazardous waste disposal regulations.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as required.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and patients professionally.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
